The Niigata Sake Brewers Association hosted the "National KiKishu Championship Niigata Prefecture Representative Selection Tournament."
This time, we limited recruitment to participants of the "Gathering of Masters," which is for those who have passed the Master Certification exam, and 69 people participated.
As a result of a rigorous competition, four people were tied for first place, but based on the selection rules for the national competition of the Japan Sake Brewers Association,
The following two individuals have been selected from among residents of Niigata Prefecture to represent the prefecture.

Furthermore, in selecting representatives for the national competition, our association has established the following conditions, taking into account the selection rules of the Japan Sake Brewers Association.

- The top two finishers based on their performance in the prefectural tournament.
- Must reside in Niigata Prefecture and not be employed by a sake brewing company.
- No experience of placing in the top 3 in a national individual competition since 3.
Of the four people who tied for first place this time, two resided outside the prefecture. Therefore, based on the rules mentioned above, the two residents of Niigata Prefecture were selected as representatives of Niigata Prefecture.
We look forward to seeing the two representatives of Niigata Prefecture perform well at the national tournament.
